Asked Mityvac 7400 7.3 liters of liquid extractor of 21 February this year. Was ordered as a gift and because the container is in good condition, no signs of injury, I made a mistake and gift packaging for inspection. It was purchased before occasion, I've purchased. This gift was opened this weekend to my mother on the journey of the statutes of Miami. Mityvac vacuum was actually damaged in shipping and now when I return, Amazon is the response to return the window has expired.
Construction equipment is in my opinion wrong. The outer layer is hard and brittle plastic. Wine box was too weak to protect them during transport. I pointed to a shipping container were signs of damage. Clearly, this case has a small bump in the course of treatment and the bus is so fragile that a coup caused the breakup. I doubt that I have no way of setting suggests the vacuum, much less the problem of preventing the transmission of oil or oil leaking from the bus during use can be found.
I am very disappointed in the product and Amazon's return policy for this product. I certainly never buy one.

Check the first car oil filter
The Mityvac functions acceptably. You connect 2 hoses to the main vessel, slide the tip of the hose through the hole measuring rod, the pump and let the oil drain up and out into the container, instead of crawling under the car. The capacity was more than enough. They can not leave all the oil ~ but about 90% (more than 4 liters of a 4.5 liter motor oil.) I have not tried to clean it yet. The problem ( No, my Mityvac blame) is that my car has an oil filter down. This means that even if the oil pump first, I still have to deal with small amount of motor oil spilled after unscrewing the oil filter. This is what I wanted to avoid in the first place. If the oil filter facing up, you can let it sit for enough time for the oil to drain the oil filter and back into the engine. This pump can not remove all the oil, so we still have to go under the car and deal with a small amount of oil out the drain hole. Since I have to get under the car anyway, and still be a ~ ~ little oil leak, this is not something I recommend. If you can communicate with the filter at the top of the car, you should work for you, in not having to crawl under the car and that does not leak oil.

I had serious difficulties with the first use of this device, no released, as suggested by other reviews and it worked as advertised ………….
Product decent so far …
Bought this MityVac Amazon and use it only once so far to change the oil in my 2001 BMW 325i. For anyone with the same car, who will be pleased to know this worked like a charm. Just warm up the engine a bit before using it, not so hot hot. In addition, you might consider loosening the oil filter to allow oil to drain down while using the MityVac. I just loosen the oil cap on the engine and still work well. A couple comments: I took a flashlight and looked closely on the top of the MityVac to check for cracks around the screws. Sorry, but the scripts are cracks, but are molded into the plastic. Are irregularly shaped, but I see the cracks and can not get even a thin sheet of newspaper to paste them. I subtracted one star for: damage slight crack in the ribs out white container, epoxy flights that are used as a seal on many critical plastic parts, rubber stopper for the main pipe goes down easily after is oily, and you should get all the screws to clean the inside of it after use. Otherwise good job, and is expected to last oil change many more. If not, go back.
Pleasant surprise, very easy to use!
I have not worked in a car in 25 years (my old 1982 Monte Carlo). Now I have a boat dock 25 years old with a pre-1985 Chevy 3.0L 4cyl engine. I was tired of being robbed by the local ports, so I decided to the work myself. I read the reviews and purchased this item hoping that would be easy to use. Rocking on the water, extracting a plug of drain that is used to access the oil pan, connecting the hose into the hole (you get 3 tubes of different sizes to choose from), gave the handle a few bombs and oil began to flow immediately into the bowl. Since I was doing other things like changing the distributor cap, points, rotor, fuel filter, etc. I could not run the engine to warm the oil, but no matter. The suction was good enough to drain 4 1 / 2 quarts of oil in less than 15 minutes. I had give an additional pump or two every few minutes, but they made no effort to get this unit of work, even with heavier oil. The removal was easy, however, no note in the instructions cover the operating unit is a complement and not screwed in. I also wish I had an adapter for my cap drainage, using a garden hose type screw cap. Taking into account an oil change at the local port is probably $ 40 or more, this practically has paid for itself with first use. Well worth the money!
