Why and how to backwash a pool filter?
I own a new group (an intex above ground), and I read somewhere that I have to wash my Fliter. What is the purpose of that, and how the hell do I? Cleaning the filter will do the same or has to be washed? Thanks!
I own a pool business, so I know what I mean. You can only backwash sand filters and I'm 95% sure that you have a cartridge filter. So you can not wash. Do not worry though, you can remove the filter and hose off. Or to better soak in a cleaning of the filter. Soaking once a season should be enough.
