Why when I press my Vessal combination boiler pressure rise in the pressure gauge of the boiler! Dred bl?
I safety valve changed due to the decrease in pressure and no leaks in the system! Having put my pressure of 1 bar to reach my 65 70 pressure gauge goes past 3 bar, when charging my Vessal pressure gauge appears on the boiler, while I'm pumping you have downloaded the boiler to zero, this tells me that my Vessal pressure is not right! Am I right?
This is undoubtedly caused by the expansion tank. It is one or more three things: – 1. The inner membrane of the ship is dead (this is a rare case though) 2. The ship has been downloaded 3. There is a blockage in the pipe or flexible pipe connected to the expansion tank off the boiler isolation valves and isolated from the mains. If you press the air valve on the container and the water comes out of it then the membrane is gone. If you press the air valve and no sound of escaping air, then discharged. Have to be pressurized with air, about 10 to 14 psi. This should be done when there is absolutely no pressure in the system at all otherwise you press the heating system and not get a true reading. Make sure the valve does not leak. The only way to check if the pipe is blocked is to remove it, but before doing so release the air pressure vessel and drain the boiler. Take the pipe off. thoroughly clean and replace (the water will escape when you remove the tube – probably a couple of pints). -Press the expansion Re ship than the last. If the expansion tank is easy to remove I drain the boiler down and remove it and perform diagnostic tests. Also, if pressed again when removed from the boiler can be sure that is the correct pressure. Finally, the isolation valves open and re-pressurize the system between 1 and 11 / 2 bar. The reason to have the expansion tank is that when the water in the system heats up it expands and has to go somewhere. If there is a blockage or air in the container has no water which expand and pressure builds up and is expelled through the pressure relief valve. When the water cools and contracts for water pressure drops Because the boiler is off. Hope this helps.
