Water Filter Pitcher Bottles

Should I buy a water filter and only filter tap instead of spending tons of money on water every week?
I've been thinking about getting a filter water for a while. I can drink, like, one or two gallons of water a day. Seriously, my mom has to buy at least seven gallons different. This is a dollar a piece. But they were also bottled in 24 packages, which are about $ 4. So, we spent about $ 15 a week in water. If we have a water filter or one of those things BRITA water filter pitchers (does anyone have those?) could save money? Do you use water filters?
I have the period review of my tap. No need extra space and fine filters. Some places I've lived, the water really bothered my wife and Pur he always took care of her, and $ 10 filter will last approximately 3 months. I'm always looking for a way to reduce what we throw away. Even if you can not recycle the bottles with them is always best option. Be careful. If you live in an area that has the smell of sulfur water, the filters regularly will do nothing for you.
