How much life I can leave my refrigerator water filter?
I have a fairly new Samsung refrigerator. Uses a very expensive screw type filter. In the past, I let it go far beyond the indicator light in the refrigerator for change … But I think the flag is just a timer that goes color red after about 6 months. It's just me and another person, so that water use is not very high. At this point, the filter is almost 2 years old. Is there any danger is to let These things go for long without change?
I was told by sales people for more than 6 months is the average (and probably pre-set in the fridge). However, if not change that often the only danger is that water is not filtered and, basically, then it is like drinking straight from the tap. If that's OK with you, in accordance with what I said, every year is fine.
